During investigation and observation of daily people behavior, Cometabolism studio found that the roadblocks on the street had become the third space for residents in people's daily life. What's most interesting is how these objects, which are meant to be road barriers, generate new stories and interactions with people who share public space. The project itself aroused a discussion about how public facilities can be used in a way different from their original purposes. The furniture installation presented in the art gallery is created by designer Zhang Ning and artist Yang Yafei. On the basis of daily observation of the behavior of "sitting", the functional context and space of the roadblock are blurred through the installation. By combining industrial components with roadblocks, the large-scale industrial products are put into the art gallery, which breaks the prescribed action of public space and makes the purpose of goods in public space be eliminated and rebuilt. 街边的路障设施在日常生活里被居民作为城市的“第三空间”进行交谈与休憩。让人最感兴趣的是，这些本意为路障的物体如何与共享公共空间的人去产生新的故事和交互。这个项目本身引起了关于公共设施如何以一种不同于其原始目的功能的方式使用的讨论，以及现代城市的空间在何时何地对其人民“有敌意”，而人民又如何温柔的化解与之共存。 通过模糊路障的功能语境和空间，将工业构件与之结合，把大规模工业生产的代谢产物置入美术馆，打破公共空间的规定动作，使得物品本身处于公共空间的目的被剔除并重新构建。
